Accounting Assistant

POSITION SUMMARY 

The Accounting Assistant is responsible for the foundation of accounting functions across much of the Signorelli portfolio. This includes coordinating cash transactions (the life-blood of the company), facilitating development draws working with both operations and accounting, organizing future cash flow support for community and commercial development, and being a key team member in company initiatives and projects garnering attention all the way up to the C-suite and owner. They will have ownership of many key cash flow processes. The successful candidate will need to be able to manage a catalogue of weekly tasks but also willing to be a jack of all trades who enjoys getting involved with all facets of the company. 

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Preparation and processing of monthly development draws.
  • Compilation/preparation of MUD reimbursables schedules by development.
  • Assist in recording standard cash and accrual entries.
  • Take a lead role in implementing a universal treasury solution.
  • Assist with treasury management processing internal ACH/Wire payments between entities.
  • Maintaining corporate credit card reconciliation and processing.
  • Assist all divisions with invoice compilation for audits and reconciliations.
  • Provide support for accounts receivable processing.
  • Assist with record keeping, payment, and tracking of tax bills across all divisions.
  • Performs other projects and related duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • Associate Degree or experience in related field of work.
  • Proficiency with bookkeeping software and strong excel skills.
  • Familiarity with basic accounting principles.
  • Exceptional time management and communication skills.
  • Professional manner and a strong ethical code.
  • Ability to multitask and remain motivated and positive.
  • Commitment to working efficiently and accurately.
  • Ability to build positive working relationships with team members.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
